John- Thanks for your reply. After some additional discoveries the time period that the family lived in the area is unknown but I suspect it was the first half of the 1800's. Ethel is born in Jamaica and Edward Hull in Toronto. I am interested in the predominate spelling of Keene in the 1800's. Alan T.
