Hi all, I am trying to establish more exacting details about my GGGG Grandmother Elizabeth WOOD. She married John BUTCHER on the 18th October 1787 in Middle Claydon, Buckinghamshire, and died/ buried 8th February 1795 aged 28. Making her birth around 1767. Now there is - 1) a marriage in Thornborough of a Thomas Wood and Elizabeth INNS 1768 2) a baptism of an Elizabeth Wood on the 30th Nov 1766 in North Marston with parents John and Mary WOOD. In favour of the 1768 marriage - A grandchild of John BUTCHER and Elizabeth WOOD had the middle name of INNS. (Mary Inns BUTCHER the daughter of William BUTCHER and Mary FLETCHER - I have not confirmed Mary FLETCHER's parents but could be Joseph FLETCHER and Martha?? - so maybe the INNS comes from here somewhere??) In favour of the 1766 birth - John BUTCHER & Elizabeth Wood's first daughter is Mary also their third son is Thomas. Also North Marston is closer to Middle Claydon than Thornborough. All the above reasons are very "fine" at best and definitely not conclusive. So my next thought was to ask if anyone is researching either of the above events, which would then probably eliminate them as a possibility? Also maybe to ask if anyone has come across the birth of an Elizabeth WOOD that I have not yet found?? Is anyone researching the family of John BUTCHER and Elizabeth WOOD? Thank you Regards, Pat Wade (Nee King)
