Hello Listers I would very much appreciate advice on my brickwall. I have a Richard HENWOOD bc 1783 married at Hillingdon, Middlesex in 1804 to Catherine RUDLER. After her death he married Penelope SPRIGGINS in 1812 also at Hillingdon. He was a shoemaker and died in 1838 in Uxbridge, Middlesex. I've been unable to find his birth around the Hillingdon area. I have found in one of my old note books a reference to a Richard HENWOOD bap 17 Oct 1783 at Datchet, BUCKS, the son of John and Sarah Henwood. They also had an Elizabeth bap in 1787. As Datchet is only about 6 miles from Uxbridge and 7 miles from Hillingdon, I feel this could be my missing Richard. Unfortunately I have no idea where this reference came from and I can't find Richard nor Elizabeth on the IGI using Hugh Wallis's batch number site. I haven't researched in Bucks before so if anyone could give me some advice on what resources to try next it would be much appreciated. Kind regards Kerrie Australia
