    3. Hi Eunice I'm not sure if the MAYNEs in my BONHAM tree are linked to yours but judging by occupation they should be. My BONHAMs were butchers for several generations in Nash and Whaddon. Elizabeth Gibbs MAYNE born c1826 Winslow, daughter of butcher John (no other info) married Thomas Pargeter BONHAM born 23 Oct 1835 Whaddon (son of butcher Robert BONHAM & Elizabeth PARGETER b/o Whaddon) on 30 Jan 1862 in Winslow. In 1851 Elizabeth is living with uncle George MAYNE (farmer & brick maker) in Buckingham Road, Winslow. Thomas Pargeter BONHAM and Elizabeth had 3 children born Winslow: Lizzie Mayne Q2 1863 (m. Walter Herbert BERRY of Framfield/Uckfield, Sussex), Thomas William Pargeter Q3 1864 (m. Rose Wood BASFORD of Towcester), Emily Charlotte Q3 1869. Because this is not my main line of BONHAMs, my research has been a tad sketchy and I haven't gone any further with the MAYNEs. However, I have Robert MAYNE otp marrying Penelope GIBBS minor wcp in Winslow 5 Apr 1790 by lic, wits Mary GIBBS and Margaret MAYNE, so I guess that's where the GIBBS comes from. Sophia's occupation is given as Butcher, and I wonder if she is related to the Stevens family who were butchers in that area. FreeBMD has the death of a Sophia Mayne in the Wycombe Registration District in June 1873, aged either 52 or 62, so that fits. Just thought I'd put some feelers out, in case anyone on the list has any info about Maynes. My interest in them is via their daughter, also Elizabeth, born Hartwell c.1835, who married Ebenezer Anderson of Hughenden in 1859. I'd appreciate anything anyone can offer !
