Mary Jane, Middle & East Claydon would probably be less that 1 mile apart. All 4 Calydons are probably within 2 miles of each other. I'm sure you will find something if you play around with google. I see you are interested in CHAMBERS. I have Alfred George b Chetwode 1846 in my EELEY tree, having married Hannah Rebecca EELEY at Preston Bissett in 1884. Hello Mary Jane, > For those of > you who are familiar with the area, would you kindly tell me where the > House was in relation to the estate as the House is listed as being in > Middle Claydon and the estate is in East Claydon? Could you tell us the source for the listing you mention above? Both Kevin Quick's Bucks Genuki page at http://met.open.ac.uk/genuki/big/eng/BKM/MiddleClaydon/ and John Broad's "Transforming English Rural Societz - The Verney's and the Claydons, 1600-1820," suggest Claydon House was situated in the midst of the estates which, after enclosure, formed the bulk if not all of the parish of Middle Claydon.
