Hi All, In reply to the year of the Census regarding George MARKS i advise that it was the 1851 Census. George is listed at living at 108 Thomas Street in Bristol, aged 40 years along with his children, Sarah, Joseph, A?? Flora, Phoebe and servants Sarah Johnson and Mary Ann ?. I obtained a photocopy of the entry but on viewing it it very hard to read. I cannot decipher the name of the his third listed child Anint?? and the surname of the second servant, any help would be appreciated here please. I will have to go back to the library and view it on screen and maybe it is clearer there. This also leads me to find out what happened to George's wife who maybe had died by this date. I think her name was Rosetta Allman but i am still trying to confirm this.
