    3. Try looking in Oxford, or at least Oxfordshire, for Thomas Hyde. His son Thomas (or at least, someone the right age, born Aylesbury) is in the 1861 census living in Farnborough, Surrey, with Joseph Hyde, 37, baker born Oxford. Thomas is described as "Cousin". Josephs wife was from Wantage, Berks, & his oldest children born Cholsey & Abingdon, i,e, in the corner of Berkshire nearest the city of Oxford.
