I am researching the family of WILLIAM ROADS who was born about 1857 in Quainton, Buckinghamshire. He married Fanny Owen and their children were Edith Annie (b1880), Mildred Ethel (b1884); William James (b1886) and Albert Victor (b1887). I have been told that Edith Annie Roads was born on a canal barge but I haven't been able to confirm this. Census records shown that they were living in Exchange Street in Aylesbury in 1881 just after Edith was born. Although this is near the canal, there is no mention of living on a barge. Any information about the family will be much appreciated. Christine
