    3. Hi again ???????? I will try that again as the link does not work via the last posting So... go to http://maps.google.co.uk/maps? enter HP20 1RU to HP20 1UU as search criteria (Aylesbury Station to the Centre for Buckinghamshire Studies) You can select driving, walking or public transport (I suspect you won't need to :-) Best wishes Nivard Ovington, in Cornwall (UK) > Could somebody please give me directions from the railway station in > Aylesbury to the record office? > > Many thanks, > Fourbears

    3. The difficult bit isn't finding the building (you can't miss the great grey eyesore, visible from many miles away, the tallest in town), but finding the entrance. In a straight line, it's about 200 metres from the station. It's in the County Offices - picture & map of location, including station, here - http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/272207. The entrance is tucked away on the east side: the right when you stand with the station behind you, or the left when you're standing in Walton Street, facing the building. At ground level. If you find yourself viewing the old County Hall (opposite side of the road from the other building) from the angle shown in this picture - http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/897532 - then turn round, & you should be able to see the entrance to the archives.
