Hi Thelma I admire your optimism (marrying four years before the birth <vbg>) I suspect it would help to say where your g.g.grandmother was born and what her name was ? Any other siblings? Where were Joseph and Ann born ? Have you found them in a later census? Thank you for your reply Nivard. My gg grandmother was Martha E(MM)ERTON born 31 Dec 1824 in Buckingham. I found them in the 1841 census. She was the first child I believe, although there went on to be several others. I have the marriage for Martha and it says the Parish of Buckingham. I am not sure if that means that Maids Moreton is covered by the Parish of Buckingham or if she married in Buckingham itself. These places are so small it may be covered by Buckingham. Martha gave birth in Maids Moreton to two children George and Ann and Martha's husband was Thomas ALLEN from Foscott. Martha died two weeks after the birth of Ann, my g grandmother. Hope this helps to give more clues.
