Or is it possible that what is says is 'Det' meaning detached. Or even 'Village St' meaning the main street and a house in it.

According to the Bucks GS transcription, it says exactly what I said in my post sent 12.03 yesterday: "Village Out House" The previous house is said to be "Rectory Lane" (the last of a run of them), & the next one "Village End". I suggest it's a house a little way out of the village.
