Hi List, The 1881 Census for bucks tells me that Charles J Alcock, farmer, 44yrs was an unmarried head of the house,Loughton His servant, Anne Elley (one of mine) was also unmarried, 30 yrs. I beleive they may have married a few years later, can anyone check the next census to see if this is correct? Also they have a Ruth Froast (maybe Frost), neice, unmarried, 20 yrs, born brill, bucks. Living in the same dwelling Loughton in the 1881 census. Anyone know who she may be? or how she is related? Thanks for any help as always Cheers Wendy in Australia

A fuller account of the 1891 census is:- Charles Alcock head M 55 Farmer (employer) B Bucks Preston Bissett Ann Alcock wife M 40 b Bucks Gt Horwood Frederick Alcock S son 5 farmer's son b Bucks Loughton Elizabeth Hall S Serv 12 General Servant Domestic b Bucks Loughton The address looks like Village out House!
