The 1861 census shows one Charles ELLEY in Bucks, aged 12, in (& born) Winslow, parents John (45, Baker) & Arabela (45) ELLEY, both born Great Horwood. There's one marriage of a Charles ELLEY in FreeBMD, to Mary HOOTLAW or HOOTLEN, March quarter 1876. Annie Elizabeths birth was June 1878 qtr, Winslow district, vol 3a page 590. Ah . . . 1861 census - Keepers House, Sandy, Bedfordshire - Charles Perkins head 30 Gamekeeper Rachel Perkins wife 22 b Sandy William son 6 mths b Sandy Mary WHOOTON (sp?) 12 House Servant born Beds (can't make it out - W..t...th) I think Mary was born Wrestlingworth. It's not too far away. There's a family of WOOTTONs there in the 1861 census. Rachel GOSS aged 2 in the 1841 census at Sandy, parents Samuel 35 ag lab & Sarah 35, both born in county.
