I have non-travelling Fletchers in Lincolnshire, but one of them suddenly popped up in London in 1900. She was also a Fanny, b. 1867 in North Owersby, dau of William Dawson Fletcher & Jane. The man she married, Alfred James GARDNER was from Middlesex but his family came from Bucks a generation or so back. Probably no connection but just throwing it into the pot in case. Happy hunting! Namely Samson FLETCHER Chr 15 September 1816 Grendon Underwood Parents John FLETCHER & Esther Samson married in 1837 at Cranfield Beds a Fanny FLETCHER d of Thomas FLETCHER & Maria. I suspect that this is Samson & fanny's child Harriet chr11 March 1838 Bletchley Bucks [ from IGI] Is there anyone else on the list researching the travelling families or specifically the FLETCHER family pre 1837. Could SKS please check the Grendon Underwood & /or the Bletchley Parish Regs to see if more info is available, siblings would be a huge bonus but I know very unlikely If Bucks has a list of strays do they include any of these FLETCHER families? Samson & Fanny moved back to Northants and I have them fairly well documented from 1841 Fingers crossed Maisie
