    3. Hi Valerie, It would appear that the KINGs and the TREADWELLs had a very happy relationship (so to speak) because the name Treadwell pops up as a middle name even though it is not a direct line. William KING 1816 (son of Thomas KING and Martha ANDREWS) married Elizabeth BUTCHER 1817 (daughter of John BUTCHER and Anne PENNHILL [PENNELL]) They had seven children - Thomas, Benjamin, William, John, Sarah, George and Ann. They emigrated to Australia in 1852 on the Steadfast. Settling in SA and the twigs eventually moving in all directions. Have we had contact before - where do you fit into this very large KING family? :-) Regards, Pat Wade (Nee King) Melb, Vic -----Original Message----- From: bucks-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:bucks-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of bagnva@netscape.net Sent: Thursday, 28 May 2009 3:26 AM To: bucks@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [BKM] king Hi Sharon, I'm a little confused how did all these sons get the middle name of Treadwell if the male line goes back to William brother of Thomas, who married a Treadwell.? Did he also marry a Treadwell as I have him married to Elizabeth Butcher and the did have a son Thomas born 1835, I do not have any wife or children list for him.? My grandfather was Frederick Treadwell King b 1902 South Australia, s/o Alfred Treadwell King b 1869 South Australia s/o Thomas King b 1835 Bucks, s/o William King b 1816 Bucks - who is the brother of Thomas King who married Anne Treadwell. It seems that the name Treadwell had endured a couple of generations to still be in use in subsequent births. - there must have been a good tie. But now I also have another connection with the Treadwell name where ?Treadwell married Henrietta Louisa Habekost in Canada 1930's. Is this a connection with your family Regards Sue *************************************** BGS Website: http://www.bucksgs.org.uk/ BFHS Website: http://www.bucksfhs.org.uk/ Bucks Genuki Website: http://met.open.ac.uk/genuki/big/eng/BKM/ ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to BUCKS-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message *************************************** BGS Website: http://www.bucksgs.org.uk/ BFHS Website: http://www.bucksfhs.org.uk/ Bucks Genuki Website: http://met.open.ac.uk/genuki/big/eng/BKM/ ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to BUCKS-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message

    2. Hi Pat, it is had to say whether I fit into this line at all as all the pieces may never be connected.? My Kings come from Quainton and the Grace's of Steeple Claydon married into the Kings of Quainton and your Henry King (b. 1835) married an Emma Grace from Steeple Claydon.? So I am just keeping them on my database for further research.
