    1. Re: [BUCK-L] Re: John Buck
    2. Mary Buck
    3. John Buck is a brick wall. John married Elizabeth Ervin on April 10, 1834 but no other information is given in the entry. Elizabeth was born January 17, 1814, in either Pendleton or Campbell Co., Kentuck, the illegitimate daughter of Sarah (Sally) Thrasher and father unknown. Ervin is her step-father's surname. I have Sarah Thrasher's ancestry back to an Unknown Ankrom in Virginia about 1645. John and Elizabeth's children were: Elisa J. (1835, Meigs Co., OH-1866, Appanoose Co, IA); Sylvester (Jan.27, 1837, Meigs, OH-abt. 1880, Appanoose, IA); Charles (Nov 10, 1836, Meigs, OH-Sept 18, 1863, Memphis, TN); Sarah Ann (Jul 14, 1841, OH-?? KS); Amanda (Feb 16, 1842, Vinton Co., OH-June 15, 1916, Putnam Co., MO); Elizabeth (Feb 5, 1844, Vinton, OH-?? KS); Eli (Sept 29, 1846, Vinton, OH-Nov 6,1927, Appanoose. IA); Elias (Oct 27, 1848, Vinton, OH-Sept 22, 1869, Appanoose, IA); Edward (May 15, 1851, Vinton, OH-Dec 3, 1915, Appanoose, IA); Martha (Aug 28, 1853, Vinton, OH-????)and Jasper Joseph (Oct 20, 1859, Appanoose, IA-Nov 22, 1945, Carbon, WY). I have spouses and in some cases, children of all but Martha who seems to "disappear".
