As I've been trying to help others solve some of their BUCK problems, I ran across a "new" BUCK. Perhaps someone can provide a clue to his ancestry. Rev. William W. Buck was born about 1804 in New York and married Jane E. Hurd probably soon after 1840. In 1860 they are found in Oregon City, Clackamas Co., Oregon. Jane born about 1823 was said to be from Vermont. Because of the age difference, I wonder if Jane could be a 2nd wife and their son Heman a son by a first wife. Other children besides Heman b. about 1840 was Marian b. abt 1847 and C. S. Buck born abt 1854. He is called W.W. Buck in the 1860 census. Margaret Scheffler
