Be very careful of the 1850 Buckfield, ME census. This family is confusing from the 1850 census. Mahala and Octavia are not his but are by his wife Mahala and her first husband Henry Buck. Cynthia and Diantha are his children by his first wife Betsy Cushman and Celia is the daughter of Samuel and Mahala. His wife Mahala is NOT PRESENT in the 1850 census.
