John Buck married Emma Target on November 2, 1867 in St. Peters Church, Evercreech, Somerset, England. John was born in 1840 and Emma in 1848. Sometime between 1867 and 1873 they immigrated to America and settled in Stockton, PA, a small mining town near Hazleton. They had three daughters - Mary Elizabeth born in 1873, Sarah (Sadie) born in 1875, and Clara born in 1879. Sometime after that, they moved to Gowen, PA. James Stevens Goyne married Mary Elizabeth Buck on November 23, 1893 in Fern Glen, PA. They had the following children: Beatrice Elizabeth - 1894-1957 William John - 1896-1970 Ida Bertha - 1902-1984 Emma Ede - 1905-1983 Geneva - 1911-1912 Mary Mildred - ? -1910 Margaret - 1907-1910 Family names are Smith (William b.1838 in Germany, George Henry b.1864), Goyne, Baskin, Welsh, Buck, Wendel, Horning, Heckrote, Arnhart. We are associated with Luzerne County, PA starting in 1860.
