My Great grandfather was Joel Smith of Alaiedon Township (accross the road from Delhi Township) near Lansing, Michigan. The farm that he homesteade back in 1848 is now part of Michigan State University research. I was surprised to see family history on the internet for Louisa Smith Buck since I was unaware that any of Joel's brothers and sisters came to the Lansing area at the same time that he did. Since finding Louisa, I have also discovered Edmund, but not of his descendents. Please let me know if you know anything about Edmund Smith of Lasing. I have a family genealogy that was done by a Ruth Christlieb of Los Angeles, CA. Do you have the same genealogy done in 1956???
