By my calculation we're 4th cousins, since Asa Smith and Hannah Poore were my g g grandparents, as well. My information on Loren and Louisa Smith Buck comes from the Fenner Family Tree, census data, a few tattered, old family documents, including Louisa's obit. and part of a Poore genealogy from another "cousin" met on the web. I spent a week searching the net for their Smith, Poore and Buck families origins trying to get a feel for migration patterns, birth places, etc. and found a vast amount of information on the Mormon site (familysearch.com) - trees, marriage and death records and so on. But I haven't even started to verify any of it. On Edmond Smith I have only that he was born 12 December, 1825 in Manchester, Ontario Co., NY, that he died in 1920 and was married to an Alice E. Harmon who was born abt. 1829. I have Joel Smith b. 16 December 1827 in Manchester, m. Mary Jane McCurdy, b. abt. 1831. I do have much more information! on Loren and Louisa Smith Buck and descendants. My database, last updated in August, is at Rootsweb/WorldConnect, Specific Database 92840. I'll be anxious to hear if we have the same info. and am delighted to find someone with "Joel" information. I do not have the Christlieb genealogy.
