Dorothy Buck, NASHUA Friday, December 6, 2002 NASHUA-Dorothy Buck, 74, of Beaver Street, died Wednesday after a short illness. She was born in Concord, the daughter of Lawrence and Clara (Audette) Philbrick. She graduated from Concord High School. She lived in Manchester before moving to Nashua in 1967. She worked for New England Telephone in Concord and later in Nashua for many years, and as a switchboard operator for St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua before retiring. Buck was an avid candlepin bowler, and enjoyed trips to Foxwoods and playing bingo. She was a member of many leagues at Leda Lanes in Nashua. Survivors include two sons, David Buck of Bedford and Gerald Hickox of Waltham, Mass.; two daughters, Betty Jane Gault of Litchfield and Judy Paprzyck of Nashua; seven brothers, Lawrence Philbrick, Edward Philbrick, Jack Philbrick and Harry Philbrick, all of Concord, Albert Philbrick of Northfield, Robert Philbrick of Sun City, Calif., and Gerard Philbrick of Gulfport, Miss.; a sister, Barbara Miner of Concord; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Her husband, Harry Buck, died in 2000; and a son, Daniel Buck, died in 1994. Calling hours will be held tomorrow from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. in Farwell Funeral Home 18 Lock St., Nashua. Funeral services will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery. The Rev. James Chaloner, senior minister of the First Church Congregational UCC, will officiate.
