Notes: Daniel BUCK came t Tompkins then Cayuga county, NY with his parents and family in 1804 at the age of 19. One source says that after the death of his wife in 1838, Daniel led a wagon train to Michigan. He had been encouraged by the Ayles of the wilderness as told by his new son in law. Henry B. North. A number of his children then went to Ingham, Michigan. Daniel however returned to Lansing, Tompkins as his death is recorded there. Childen: 1. The Central NY Bucks were an elusive lot. I recently looked in the Syracuse, NY historical society for what they have on the Onondaga Co. BUCKs. I think your Tompkins Co. ones are likely related, but need more clues to make the connections. Anything you can share on the immediate family of Daniel W.
