Source: WVCALHOU@rootsweb.com Subject: [WVCALHOU] Calhoun Chronicle Obituaries 14 Sep 2006 Orvin Glenn Buck, 75, of Grantsville, died Monday, Sept. 4, 2006 Evelyn Lou Wilson, 75, of Brohard, died Sunday, Sept. 10, 2006 <----------------------------------------------------------------> "Calhoun Chronicle" - 14 September 2006 ORVIN GLENN BUCK Orvin Glenn Buck, 75, of Grantsville, died Monday, Sept. 4, 2006, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Parkersburg. He was born in Calhoun County, the son of the late Orvan Buck and Vanna Core Buck Waldo. He graduated from Calhoun County High School in 1951 and served in the U.S. Air Force for four years at Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi, Miss. He was retired from Pennzoil Corp. as a welder. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Grantsville, VFW Post 5959 and Eureka Lodge #40, AF&AM, He was a Shriner, active in Boy Scouts of America and an umpire for youth baseball. Surviving are his wife, Virginia Weaver Buck; two sons, Stephen L. Buck of Williamstown and William C. Buck of Grantsville; one brother, Garland R. Buck of Columbus, Ohio; and three grandsons, Jeremy L. Buck, S. Mitchell Buck and Jeffrey T. Buck. He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters. Services were held at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Burial was in Bethlehem Cemetery, near Grantsville, with Masonic graveside rites.
