Do you have any info. on Edmund's siblings? I have a _______ Buck who was living in Elizabethtown, Ontario, Canada, in the late 1830's/early 1840's when his children Hiram, Phillip and Ella were born. His wife's name was Hannah. The family moved to Minnesota in the 1850's. I haven't been able to determine his name because he died before I can find the family in the Minnesota census, but I know that he died in about 1858 in Minnesota. His son, Hiram, married a woman who (according to the census) was born in Ohio. Hiram's wife was Louisa Crandall. Does this tie into your family? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Marian Sargent" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, March 09, 2003 12:43 PM Subject: [BUCK-L] Edmond Buck > Many thanks for the info on Edmund Buck! Unfortunately as I suspected, this is not my line. My Edmund was born in 1805-07, probably in NY state, went to Grimsby, Ontario, Canada before 1830. He later moved to Oxford County, ON. He was a Miller by trade. Some family info claims a connection with Buck's in the Potsdam, NY area. In all of the Ontario census he claims German ancestry, however my gt-grandfather, his son George Buck, claims English ancestry. If anyone has German Buck's in NY or Ontario and wants to share info, let me know! > Marian in Michigan > > > ==== BUCK Mailing List ==== > To unsubscribe from the BUCK-L or BUCK-D list just send > the word "unsubscribe" without the quotes in both the subject > line and in the body of the message to [email protected] > (or to [email protected] if you're receiving the "Digest Mode") > To review Archived messages: > http://archiver.rootsweb.com/BUCK-L > If you have problems or questions, contact the List Manager: John Buck, Jr > at: [email protected] > > ============================== > To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion online genealogy records, go to: > http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237 > >
