Buck at the University of Wisconsin - which was very near my home in Madison, Wisconsin.... Don't remember what he taught (but assume that he was a teacher) but I do remember the name! If your ancestor could have been alive in the 1950's, you might want to contact the University of Wisconsin at Madison, to see if they have any info on him...... just a thought. And another thought: have you done a search on Google? I just did a search for "Philo Buck" and it brought up 9 entries, one of them concerning the fellow I mentioned above.... but a couple of others which may relate to the man you're looking for....
