I find from the US federal census that Orrin BUCK born abt 1811 was born in New York State and went to Antwerp Twp., Van Buren Co., MI before son Lawson or Alanson was born in 1850. The family was still there in 1860, and in 1870 in Chesire, Allegan, MI. From the census the children were Orrin J., Louisa, Emma A., Sarah, Cyrus John or John Cyrus and Alanson. There was an Orrin Buck born 1793 whose family originated from CT and whose parents at one point lived in St. Lawrence Co., New York. I have no idea if there are family connections here. There are several knowledgeable BUCK researchers on the Buck-L@rootsweb list. If you provide more information even if just possible clues, perhaps someone can provide more information.
