I agree with Cynthia in wondering about the origin of Taylor as a middle name for Jonathan Buck, the spouse of Zuriah Covalt. J & Z's son Ephraim married Nancy Agnes Taylor and E & N's son was named Jonathan although I do not know what his middle name was (if any). Jonathan's son was Nathaniel T. (presumably Taylor) Buck and Nathaniel's son was my grandfather, Alfred Taylor Buck who I know was named for his cousin Alf Taylor. (The Taylor family was a prominent one in east Tennessee with three being congressmen, two being governors and one being a U.S. senator which could explain the popularity of using the Taylor name in that branch of the family.)
