The BUCK that came in 1635 on the ship "INCREASE" was William BUCK, not James BUCK. I wrote to correct this a few weeks back, but the poster seems not to have corrected the mistake or this latest reference is to the posting with the error. I have been gradually typing the names from the Richards book on the BUCKS of Bucksport, ME into my database from a book in the Syracuse, NY library, but if the James W. of the posting is in the book, I have not yet come to it. It would probably be more time efficient to scan the pages instead of typing, but our library does not have a good setup for doing this. Perhaps scanning the book would be a good project for someone with ready access to the Richards book and the proper conditions to do it. Then the information could more easily be shared on this list. Anybody willing to take this on as a project? Margaret Scheffler ----- Original Message ----- From: "Stan's e-mail" <[email protected]> > I too have a James W.
