Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/VYG.2ACIB/275.297.298.300.360.370.1 Message Board Post: Jeannette, I find the first names in this family line intriguing. I also have an Amelia and Jessie and Chester. My line stems from Solomon b. 1808 from Lewis County, NY. We also have a Jeannette (Solomon to Madison to Wallace Chester to George Madison to Doris Jeannette Buck). Doris (about 61 now) goes by her middle name, Jeannette. The last residence I have for her is Morgan Hill, CA. George, her father, died in 1983. Her mother's maiden name was Todd. She married three times: Robert Torma, Thomas Maul, and Daniel L. Moore. I have been searching for this family with no luck of contact. Anyway, my Bucks were in NY, WI, Ill, AR, CA, and later, MO. I believe there is some connection to PA Buck's since we have a photo that was taken in PA. I also am wondering about a connection to the Tenn. Bucks since there was a Henderson Buck near them in Benton County, Arkansas. Finally, we are wondering about Native American ancestry, though on census data they usually said English. Anything you can add to my knowledge would be appreciated.

    3. Hello, I am still searching for sources about the possible marriage between Nelson Buck and Fidelia Wethey. I still only have one source, which is written byDr. Leo L. Lemonds: http://www.rootsweb.com/~neharlan/buck.html I also know of guardianship papers for his possible son Oliver P. "Buck" Wethey who lived with his Grandfather and later his Uncle (Porter Wethey) and a document when he changed his surname from Buck to Wethey. I do not have copies of these documents at this time. I have finally located a death record for Oliver P. Wethey in Oregon. Oregon Death Index, 1903 - 98 Record Name: Oliver P Wethey Place of Death: Lane County Date of Death: 09 July 1907 Certificate No. 4165. I have not yet ordered an official copy of this document, but hope to do so shortly. Erik Quist

My Great Grandfather (Karl Eduard) and GGMother (Auguste nee DARKOW) came to Australia in 1874 from Hamburg on the Herschel. Their daughter Martha (aged 2) came with them. The immigration records show them as BIOCK. The family settled in Nundah, Brisbane, Queensland. GGFather was a Dragoon in the Prussian Army from 1867 to 1871. Any information would be really appreciated. Cheers, Ronwyn
