    3. The best book on the BUCK family (which includes many CT families) is the Origin, History, and Genealogy of the BUCK Family by Cornelius B. Harvey. It was published 1889 by J. J. Griffiths, Steam Book and Job Printer in Jersey City, N.J. It is available as a reproduction copy from Tuttle. There are a number of BUCKs listed in the Barbour Collection of CT Vital Records. See the alphabetical listing on microfilm. The "cards" are in the State Library of CT in Hartford. 1. [BUCK-L] Buck families in CT
    2. Lisa Taylor
    3. Hello, I've got two Buck families I'm trying to trace. For all I know they may be two parts of the same one. But here is the info I have. David Buck married Anna Russell. Their daughter was Abelina Buck, born 30 July 1772 in Killingly, CT. Abelina (I've seen at least two other variations of this first name)married Anson Perry on 20 Sept. 1798 I think in Killingly or Putnam, CT. She died 15 Mar. 1866 in Killingly, CT. Anson Perry and Abelina (Buck) Perry's son George Perry married Eliza Watson Buck. (It is interesting to me that this George Perry was born and died at the same house but in the birth year it is in Killingly, CT and the death year it is in Putnam, CT.) This Eliza (Elisa) Watson Buck was born 9 Apr. 1811 in Putnam, CT to Joseph Buck and Dorcus. My sources indicate Dorcus was a Fairbanks. Eliza had a twin brother named Elisha Fairbanks Buck. Are these Buck families connected to each other? Or just connected through these two Perry marriages? Another question, Is there a book about Buck families in Connecticut? Any info, suggestions, or questions are welcome. Sincerely, Lisa Taylor _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com

    1. [BUCK-L] Please read how to unsubscribe
    2. MScheffler
    3. I wrote explaining the process several days ago. If you have followed the directions below, and they do not work, I do not know what to suggest. Address email to [email protected] Put unsubscribe as the ONLY word on the subject line and in the body of the message You should then be automatically unsubcribed. You have apparently been leaving the -request out of the email address. since your messages keep coming to the list. All rootsweb lists work the same thing -- just ut -request after the list name before the @ sign. To unsubscribe from any rootsweb list, you have to send your request to the address of the computer script that controls the subscriptions. Do NOT send you request to the mailing list, where it will simply annoy hundreds of your fellow researchers without accomplishing your objective. Perhaps it would be helpful to save the welcome message that you receive when joining a list - this contains instructions for whatever you may need to do in the future. To unsubscribe from this list (either regular or digest) send an email to [email protected] with ONLY THE WORD unsubscribe in either the subject or the text. Ralph in Los Angeles

In 1910 Louisa was 78 yrs old, I have found no census records for her after 1910. I assume(?) she died between 1910 and 1920, in Delta County, Texas? I have visited the Cemetery in Pecan Gap, Delta County and have found no tombstone with her name; although there is a Haddock Plot with several childrens markers and some broken markers and a lot of spaces with no markers. Since this is the only Cemetery I have had time to visit, I can not know about the others in Delta County. I have found Jemina in the 1880 Census for Urban E. and her name is spelled Jeminese. She is a sister of Elizabeth Angeline Fort who married Noah Alberton Haddock. I would like to have copies of any marriage licenses you wish to share. I will be glad to send you my genealogy files for a one on one exchange and share any marriage license's that I may have, or any reference's that you may require; i.e. if I have them.
