    2. Lisa Taylor
    3. Hello everyone, I'm still trying to organize the info I've got. My Buck family is connected twice to the Perry family in Putnam, CT. Eliza Watson Buck, born 9 Apr. 1811 in Putnam, CT married George Perry. George Perry was born 30 Sept. 1809 in Killingly, CT to Anson Perry and Abelina Buck. Now that Christmas is finished I can finally get back to organizing my stuff. But for the moment I need to close. Sincerely, Lisa Taylor _________________________________________________________________ The new MSN 8 is here: Try it free* for 2 months http://join.msn.com/?page=dept/dialup

    1. [BUCK-L] TAG Article on Emanuel Buck
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: BUCK, ARNOLD Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/VYG.2ACIB/1234 Message Board Post: The July 1968 (vol.44, No.3) issue of "The American Genealogist" contained, beginning on p.168, an article regarding Emanuel Buck's wife, Mary Arnold, as well as information on his other wives and his children. Unfortunately, there is an error/omission on p.171-2 of that article. It lists a son, Thomas, but the information given for him reads, "b. 1 Aug 1682; said to have m. Samuel 3 Arnold (Joseph 2, John 1); if so she d. East Haddam, 20 May 1739." There is no daughter, Abigail, listed, but the above quote happens to be the data for Abigail Buck. My question...does anyone have a copy of the addition or correction to this article or was there ever one published? If none was published, what other documentation (other than the IGI or Ancestral File) is there to support the information for Emanuel Buck's son, Thomas, and daughter, Abigail?

    3. Hi Buck Clan, I too am researching the Jonathan(1755-1831)/Zuriah Covalt Buck lines. I am related through their 12th child, Isaac Buck, born 1800 in Carter County, TN. From there, I descend from Enoch J. Buck, through Erastus Hickman Buck, through John Howard Buck and my Father, Stacy Lee Buck. It's been a lot of fun over the years, meeting and talking to the different Buck relations, although my job of late has not permitted me the time to do as much research as I would like. I am willing to share all my Buck info with those out there researching these lines. I also maintain two homepages, one for my husband's reenacting unit, "The 9th Virginia Infantry, the Baltimore Artillery" at http://pw2.netcom.com/~buck1755/9thva1.htm and General Lewis Addison Armistead, C.S.A. at http://pw2.netcom.com/~buck1755/laa.htm I am also researching the following lines: Thompson/Moulden/Beale in Maryland Futrell/Askew in North Carolina Buck/Covalt/Gustin in PA and Tennessee Walker/Sliger in Tennessee and North Carolina Take care, Cynthia Buck-Thompson

    1. [BUCK-L] Jonathan Buck and Elizabeth Barnett......
    2. John Buck, Jr.
    3. Hi Bob.... Thanks for your message. I have a bit of data on this line. Your Jonathan's first wife was Glaphy Denton; after her death he married Elizabeth Barnett. HIS father was Jonathan Buck, and his mother was Zuriah Covalt. I do not have a Ancie Price Buck listed, and do not have much at all for this line. My ggg grandfather, Elijah Buck, was your Jonathan's brother. You can see what data I have for this family at either of the URLs listed below. If you discover some discrepancy between our data, I hope you will let all of us here at the BUCK-L know, and we'll try to work it out.... Best wishes. 3. Greetings! Researching James Buck b1827 County Derry, Ireland who married Margaret Clements b1828 County Derry, Ireland. She migrated to the USA c1848 with sister Sarah, and married James in Philadelphia 1851. They had ten children (Mary Jane, William James, John A., Elizabeth, George, Sarah Elizabeth, Anna, Benjamin Alexander, William Henry, Robert Clement) with the first four born in/near Philadelphia. James died 1877 in Bond County, Illinois, where they moved around 1857, and Margaret died in Bond County 1913 after she remarried, to Caleb Harris. Unable to find anything of their lives in Philadelphia, nor Sarah Clements. I would appreciate help! 2. John Buck
    3. You and I sent some Email a couple of years ago. Our Bucks came from Bucksport. Franklin A. Buck got on a ship in Bath and sailed around South America stopping for the Gold Rush in Ca. Stayed awhile where he met Levi Strauss. He got in the lumber business and built tents with Levi. Then moved on to Seattle and got into the lumber and got his grubstake to go to the Yukon gold rush. After that back to Seattle and then to Alameda Ca where Rufus Buck and Rufus buck jr.(my father) started from. I knew a John Buck that lived in Chicago and sold Trucks back in the 70's for GMC and White Motor Trucks. Any relation? See ya. -----Original Message----- From: John Buck, Jr. [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, January 06, 2003 09:24 To: [email protected] Subject: [BUCK-L] RE: Happy New Year! Hi John....
