    3. Do Not know where Samuel Buck of Crown Point, NY found his information for his book on the children Thomas and Abigail Buck children of Emanuel Buck and Mary Kirby. "Orign, History & Gen. Jonathan born 8 April 1655, when she died and he then married on 15 April 1658, Mary Kirby of Middletown, born 1627, aged 31. daughther of John Kirby of Hartford, CT., who died in 1671. He bought a homestead of Edward Scot of Farmington on 12 Mar 1659. She died on 17 Jan 1712, aged 85. Their children were: d. Mary born on 1 April 1659; e. David born on 3 April 1667, died 20 Sept 1738; f. Sarah born on 1 Jan 1668, married Benjamin Church; g. Hannah born on 18 April 1671, married John Fowler; i. 3. Just to add to this - John Buck, Jr. gave me this info: Thomas Buck, b. 10 June 1678 m. Sarah Judd 12 May 1709 at Middletown,, Middlesex Co., CT. (Sarah was the daughter of Benjamin Judd and Mary Lewis). Their children were: Sarah, b. 19 Jun 1710, Thomas, Mary, Ebenezer and John. And a correction to my earlier message: the other Mary that Emanuell married was Mary Kirby, as Ms. Scheffler has stated, not Orcutt. I have the Barbour microfilm records as source for the various birth dates. The listof children is also included in the Cornelius Harvey BUCK Genealogy (pub 1889), p. 30 without a division of the list by mother. I don't have time before work to go back and look at my notes, but I believe the problem is that the Wethersfield records do not distinguish between mothers Mary Kirby and Mary Arnold. Harvey indicates that no further mention has been found for John, Thomas, Mary, Sarah, Hannah, Elizabeth and Abigail. He lists the birth of Thomas as 10 Jun 1678 and Abigail as 1 Aug 1682.. Other sources give marriages/families for Sarah, Hannah, Elizabeth and Abigail. 3. Looking for family with Lanier Buck and wife Sarah Bright in their list of ancestors. Actually looking to document all ( Pitt Nc - Marion Al, Tippah Ms, western Tn, Arkansas) Buck descendents. I am mostly interested in the pre 1820 family history of the Buck family from Nc to identify any possible orphans from RevWar,War1812,MexicanWar,Civilwar. Surnames most likely to contain information that can help clearup numerous families histories include. Shivers King Jackson Redditt Bright Allen Elks Williams Stewart Fleming Briley Williford Fulford Price These families have been shown to have maintained a close bond with the Buck family, migrated together and most likely prayed together. The information that can be most beneficial is any Will,Probate,Marriage,Guardian,Land certificates that you may have in possesion. I would like to add them to the growing archive of documents on these families. If you recognise any of these surnames from your tree and they have any connections with the Lanier Buck family line I would be interested in working with you. Also any Alabama researchers with NC and TN clues i am open to work with you also on these families. James Shivers http://www.xtremechat.org [email protected]

    1. [BUCK-L] BUCK - Beaufort, Craven & Pitt NC
    2. Searching for descendants of Thomas Buck b.c. 1806, d. bef. 1860, m. Louise "Lucy" Sutton, Beaufort/Craven/Pitt NC. Believe Thomas was s/o a Thomas Buck d. bef. 1810 and possibly brother of James. Searching for very early Buck info in the above counties and possible links to connect early families in this area. I'm at a complete dead-end on a father for Thomas Buck 1806-1860 above. I'd be glad to share what I've got Judy Stell

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/VYG.2ACIB/1234.1 Message Board Post: I believe that most of the children of Emmanuel (Enoch) BUCK are listed in the Wethersfield, CT Town Records. I suggest you join the [email protected] mailing list to continue discussing these related families as it leads to easier discussion of the issues than does this board.
