Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/VYG.2ACIB/1141.2.2 Message Board Post: Saw the postings about Walter Buck and wife Chloe. I have been researching Walter Buck's family for about 18 years - only recently on the internet - used to do everything by snail mail. I corresponded several times with Leland Morse - what relationship to you? I gave Leland extensive papers - Walter's will, certificates, ... The DAR back in 1997 reviewed all the paperwork - including deeds from Essex County, NY and Lorain Co, OH for Johnathan Buck and Walter Buck and they have corrected the Jonathan Buck in the DAR records to reflect ours. That Jonathan Buck listed before was born and died in Herkimer Co and was married to Myra Breckenridge. His family erroneously went into the DAR with no documentation. Our Jonathan Buck has been scrutinized and verified. Jonathan Buck was married to Irena/Irina - they are on several deeds from Essex Co. Walter and Chloe Buck are mentioned on deeds for 1810, 1851, and Chloe is listed with my great grandfather Henry Horace Buck on the! In 1860 censusin In. I believe the Flora name was a mistake. Leland Morse sent me a little of his tree - I know his father was Roy and grandfather was Simon. Through who are you related? I am from Cecil Buck, Jr. > Cecil Buck, Sr..>Charles Augusta Buck > Henry Horace Buck > Walter Buck > Jonathan Buck >? I have corresponded with several in our extensive family - Bart Casteel, Keith Freestone, Charles Mallette, and of course Leland Morse. I have not heard from him for a long time. Do you know anything about him?Well, I have gone on long enough. We are cousins somehow I am sure. Best regards, Valerie Buck Yoder
