Hi Listers, We need your help. We have located a name that this Buck line is interested in. Our Frederick BUCK was b. 1716 in Germany and settled just east of Philadelphia but the children, Philip b. 1742, and George b.1740 both in Germany, married and moved into the Mohawk Valley area in New York. They were there until the Rev. War started. Would anyone like to claim him? We have NO other info on this Friederick at this time, just wish I had. Friederick Buckel from Wirtemberg, Swabia, and Darmstadt on ship "Jacob" with Capt. Adolph de Grove from Amsterdam, last from Shields, Eng. on Oct. 2, 1749 arr. in PA . Ship Passenger Lists of the Palatine Germans to Pennsylvania - German pioneer i or: http://searchforancestors.com/passengerlists/ Scroll down to the ship Jacob in 1749 and click...... No information on who her parents were. A little tidbit of information I have on James Judson Buck: A brother of James Judson Buck writes "He went to Sparta, Kent Co., MI, when a young man, and with a companion settled upon government land, five miles beyond any other inhabitant. He was much respected by all who knew him. He was killed November 9, 1882, by a train of cars, while walkin out in the village of Sparta, where he then resided. His estate valued at $20,500. Have more information on this family, and since James Judson Buck goes back to James Buck and Elizabeth Sherman, as I do, would love to correspond more with you. Thelma Kifer [email protected]
I have a "Liza Buck" ancestress(prior to 1892 whn she died).
