Buchmann, 64, who passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013. James was born May 4, 1949, in Wellsville, Ohio (Columbiana County) the son of James J. and Sally (McLain) Buchmann. James was a self-employed mortgage closer and had a lifelong love of trains. He was a member of the Christian Life Church in Canfield, Ohio. James courageously served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era. He was a terrific husband and father and will be truly missed by all those who knew him. James will always be loved and remembered by his wife, the former Carol Ferrara, whom he married Aug. 2, 1974; four sons, Anthony (Shari) Buchmann, Eric Buchmann, Jarrod (Sheila) Buchmann, and Louis (Jennifer) Buchmann, all of Boardman; 10 grandchildren; and two sisters, Jeanie (Bruce) Fagan and Janie Phillips. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends may call on Friday, Oct. 25, 2013, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman,Ohio. (Mahoning County) James will be respectfully laid to rest at Lake Park Cemetery when his dedicated service to our country will be recognized with full military honors provided by the great men of V.F.W. Post 9571 of Ellsworth,OH.
