Hello List. This is my first posting on the Bryant List This is the earliest know ancestor of my family. Well at least the earliest I know anything about. His father, according to family oral history, brought his family down the Ohio River, entered the Kanawha River, and settled in Poca. They are supposedly from Pennsylvania. Generation No. 1 1. JOHN RESSE2 SNYDER (SNYDER1) was born 1861 in Poca, Putnam County, West Virginia, and died 24 April 1937 in Kayford, West Virginia. He married VICTORIA BRYANT. She was born in Cross Lanes, West Virginia, and died Unknown. Notes for JOHN RESSE SNYDER: John Snyder was partially blind at least in latter life..
