    3. The Great River Genealogical Society in Quincy, Illinois has a collection of letters called the Hyatt Collection. They were trying to distribute the letters to anyone researching the names mentioned in the letters. I have acquired a few but they are not part of my Bryants who came from that area of Illinois. I would be happy to send the letters to anyone who has these individuals in their line. Apparently, Harry M. Hyatt may have been researching lines for others as there are a large number of surnames in the collection. If these letters refer to your family, please contact me directly. Judy Burns Oklahoma City Transcribed letters as follows: 888 Park Avenue New York 21, N.Y. Mar. 29, 1952 Mrs. Notley F. Keith Leonard, Missouri Dear Mrs. Keith: Here is a very important question you, your husband, or some elderly person at Leonard may be able to answer. I have just learned that in Knox Co. Mo. On Nov. 12, 1906, Stephen A. Bryant, Jr. of Cleveland Co. Oklahoma, married Mary F. Glahn of Leonard, Shelby Co. Mo. This Bryant comes from a large family of Bryants who formerly lived in Knox Co. All of them are Bakers and have been lost for over 30 years. I though if anyone at Leonard remembers Mary F. Glahn or she still has relatives living there, some one might be able to give me the name and address of one of her descendants. Or, if she herself was a young woman in 1906, she may still be living. If I can get in touch with any member of the Bryant family, that person may be able to help me locate some lost families (also Bakers) related to the Bryants. Can you tell me anything about this Mary F. Glahn or give me the name and address of any relative of her? You may use the opposite side of this page in answering. Any information will be a great help. Sincerely yours Harry M. Hyatt ON THE REVERSE SIDE OF THE LETTER IS THE RESPONSE AS FOLLOWS: Mr. Harry M. Hyatt Dear Sir. Here is the address of the Stephen A Bryant, Jr. you requested: S. A. Bryant 1007 E. Broadway Cushing, Oklahoma I believe both he and his wife are living. My husband has never hear of the Bryants being descendants of the Bakers but we believe Mrs. Bryant’s mother was an Arnett of Clarence Mo. And she was a Baker. That is Mary Glahn Bryant’s mother was an Arnett probably you can find out who Mrs. Arnett was from Mrs. H. A. Collison, Clarence, Mo. or Mary Bryant if you can locate her at Cushing Oklahoma. Hope this little bit will help you. Sincerely, Mrs. Notley F. Keith Leonard, Mo. No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
