    3. This might help someone--not related. The Saint Jo Tribune Saint Jo, Montague County, Texas March 24, 1939 JOEL T. BRYANT JOEL T. BRYANT, member of one of Montague County pioneer families, died in St. Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City on March 17 following an illness of several weeks. The body was brought to Saint Jo and funeral services held Sunday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. G. C. DAVIS on East Howell St. with Rev. PAUL THOMPSON of the local Baptist Church officiating. Music was furnished by a quintet of MRS. C.E. CUNNINGHAM, MRS. LUKE GRANT, C. E. CUNNINGHAM, S. C. ROACH and T. C. DAVIS with MISS ALICE LAUDERDALE at the piano. Pallbearers were life long friends: LUKE GRANT, LUTEHR SLAUGHTER, S. C. ROACH, D. T. FARRIER, LEE HUSBAND and E. L.ANDERSON of Montague. JOEL THOMAS BRYANT was born 2 miles north of Saint Jo on November 18, 1876, oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. S. A. BRYANT. He lived here more than 30 years and since leaving, made his home in Fort Worth and Gainesville. Of a happy carefree disposition and with an ever ready smile Joel numbered his friends in this small city and in any place he called home by each person with whom he was associated. Survivors include his daughter LANDI LOU BRYANT 8 at Gainesville, a sister MRS. ELLA NEWSOME at Oklahoma City, a half-sister MRS. G. C. DAVIS of Saint Jo; half brother T. M. HOWELL of Saint Jo; three nieces MRS. BERNIECE PIERCE RUFFER of Kilgore, MRS. WILMA PIERCE CAIN of Dallas, and MRS. JODELL PIERCE FIELD of Kermit. Out of town relatives here for the funeral were: LANDI LOU BRYANT, Mr. and Mrs. IRB BATEMAN, Mr. and Mrs. YANCEY NICHOLS, MRS. MONROE GILES, MRS. A. USSERY, GEORGE W. BROWN and ERIC GILES all of Gainesville; MRS. ELLA NEWSOME of Oklahoma City; Mr. and Mrs. WILL PIERCE and daughter Miss LORENE, MRS. WILMA P. CAIN, MRS. J. B. GILES, MRS. MARMETTE DAVIS of Dallas; Mr. and Mrs. GUS PIERCE and daughter BEVERLY JOAN of Fort Worth, MRS. JODELL P. FIELD of Kermit; Dr. and Mrs. W. A. LEE of Denison; MISS THELMA ALDRIDGE of Spanish Fort; JOHN ALDRIEDGE and daughter, MRS. CLARENCE ELMORE of Alma, Oklahoma; MISS TEXANN ALDRIEDGE of Duncan, Oklahoma; LOUIS HOLLAND and E. L.ANDERSON of Montague; HOMER B. LATHAM of Bowie; MRS. LUCINDA BARKER and daughters, MRS. TERRAL FARQUHAR and MRS.     3. Thanks, Interesting note that in a small place like Saint Jo there would be two Joel Thomas Bryant's. The other was my grand father who died in Saint Jo on June 24, 1933.
