I have a James Bryant who may have been born in Buckingham County, Va. or Nelson County. He was married to a Mildred (maiden name unsure of). They had a daughter who was my great grandmother. Her name was Jennie. The story throughout the family is that she was of Native American ancestry. I've also read that Mildred may have been a Ripley. Jennie married a Dolan and they lived in Wingina which is in Buckingham County on the Nelson County/Buckingham County line. My information is not confirmed but was received from a relative. I do know that Powhatan Bryant and Mary Via Bryant are buried in the Bryant Cemetary, Buckingham County. Ellie Call
