    3. I'm looking for information on David Bryant of Floyd Co., KY. I find him there on the 1840, 1850 & 1860 census. He was born about 1804 and was married to Vina (Lavina) Mullins, the daughter of William Mullins. They were married 28 March 1830 in Pike Co., KY. I'm trying to figure out several things. First, I think David may be the son of the Gabriel Bryant who is on the 1820 census in Floyd Co. We think Gabriel went to Indiana after this census. We find a Gabriel Bryant in Parke Co., Indiana in 1830 that matches. However, there is one son on the 1820 census that does not appear on the 1830. He would have been born between 1804 and 1810. I'm trying to determine if Gabriel's son stayed in Kentucky and, if he did, if he is David. I'm also trying to determine the relationship between the Bryants and the Mullins. In 1818 Josiah Bryant (the probable father of Gabriel) signed a marriage consent in Floyd Co. for his daughter Elizabeth. Elizabeth married George Holland and they lived in Pike and Breathitt counties. In 1850 George and Elizabeth have an Ambrose Mullins living with them. Some researchers have taken Ambrose to be the father of Elizabeth and have recorded her name as Elizabeth Mullins. According to other census records Ambrose Mullins did not have a daughter the right age to be Elizabeth. Plus we know that Elizabeth's name was Bryant, not Mullins. So I'm not sure why Ambrose was living with them. To make this even more confusing, William Mullins, the father of Vina, is the son of an Ambrose Mullins. Don't know if it's the same Ambrose or not. But there is definitely some kind of connection between the two families. If David Bryant is the son of Gabriel, then Elizabeth Bryant Holland was his aunt. Any help with any of this would be greatly appreciated. Marsha Buck DeepRoots@sisna.com www.pageproducer.com/users/deeproots/index.html
