I'm looking for descendants of James Carl Bryant who is listed on the 1830 census in Osceola, Polk Co., Nebraska. There are no children listed on that census. We're hoping to find a living descendant to talk to. James Carl was born about 1900 in Gentry Co., Missouri. His father was William M. Bryant, b. abt 1871 in Indiana. We believe William is a descendant of Gabriel Bryant, of Parke Co., Indiana - and that Gabriel is the son of Josiah Bryant and Lydia Ratliff of Montgomery Co., VA and Montgomery Co., KY Gabriel's wife's name was Phoebe. We believe her maiden name was Marsh but haven't been able to verify it yet. William had three brothers - John H. Bryant, b. 1849 in Clinton Co., IN, James H. Bryant, b. abt 1859 in IN, and Josiah b. abt 1861 in IN. James Carl had a brother - Harold M., b. abt 1895 in Nebraska. Thanks for any help. Marsha Buck DeepRoots@sisna.com
