Does your e-mail program have a way to block the sender? If not, you might consider setting up a second e-mail box through Hotmail or Yahoo or something and subscribing to the Bryant list through that other mailbox. The spammers will still have your other e-mail address, but if they are getting you name through Rootsweb having a second mailbox might lose them.
