Hi Christine, Have you located a death certificate and marriage record for Jonathan Alexander Bryant? These two documents, if found, may hold excellent clues for you. Most death certs have the names and birthplaces of the parents, and the marriage record may have the name of a male relative as bondsman. Also, have you located this family in any of the census records? Ancestry.com has the AIS census records available online (for a fee) and the LDS also has them on microfilm for free.
