I don't mean to sound like I don't appreciate the need to preserve family history of which the recipes are a part, for example. There is a place for this. But I don't think it is an important part of my research to be remembered on my birthday or anniversary. I have my immediate family for that. I have wondered if the relatively few genealogy posts to this list (as compared to others of which I am a member) have caused subscribers to leave having not found this list helpful.
