My Bryant family I find in Lower Canada and moved out to Illinois about 1845 and then on to Iowa, Alamankee co. by 1856. More particular the I am looking for the parents of Francis Bryant below. Francis Bryant b. March 02, 1787, Lower Canada and died August 05, 1878, Waukon, Allamakee County, Iowa married Susannah Griggs in an unknown location about 1819. She was born in 1792 and died on October 22, 1864, Waukon, Iowa, daughter of John and Hannah Scouten from Halfmoon, NY who came to Alburg, VT as Loyalists. His father is most likely one of the sons of a William Bryant who applied for a land grant for himself and 2 of his sons who were over 18. I don't know their names. William got his in Hemmingford, Que and the sons in Poton. Would like to get my hands on the particulars of this information and apply it to my family.
