My Bryant family I find in Lower Canada and moved out to Illinois about 1845 and then on to Iowa, Alamankee co. by 1856. More particular the I am looking for the parents of Francis Bryant below. Francis Bryant b. March 02, 1787, Lower Canada and died August 05, 1878, Waukon, Allamakee County, Iowa married Susannah Griggs in an unknown location about 1819. She was born in 1792 and died on October 22, 1864, Waukon, Iowa, daughter of John and Hannah Scouten from Halfmoon, NY who came to Alburg, VT as Loyalists. Eliza Amy Walling Susannah, the daughter of Francis was in MN in 1900 and earlier. 1900 Census LeRoy, Mower, MN Harden, Warren D Oct 1830 age 69 NY married 48 yrs father NY mother NY postmaster Susannah Apr 1827 age 73 Can/Eng 48 yrs father Can/Fr mother Can/Eng George WW May 1862 38 IA NY Can Eng lawyer Horace G Oct 1867 32 IA NY Can/Eng laborer-day 1870 Census, LeRoy Twp, Mower Co, MN Harden, W D 39 photographer NY Susan 44 Canada Charles 12 IA George 7 IA Horace 3 IA I am hoping someone knows the family and can provide information on Francis ancestors. His father is most likely one of the sons of a William Bryant who applied for a land grant for himself and 2 of his sons who were over 18. I don't know their names. William got his in Hemmingford, Que and the sons in Poton. Would like to get my hands on the particulars of this information and apply it to my family.
