    2. Doug, Every thing that I have read states that "Mulatto" is half black and half white. Even the census identifies individuals as M instead of W or B or I (Indian). I have found some Mulattos in my family line and accepted the fact as given at that point that no only did my ancestors own slaves but also sleep and had children by them as well. The same as Thomas Jefferson is known is history to have done.
