Judy, Framlingham is in a very rural area. If William, the father, was one of the countless ag.labs. in the district he could have moved to another farm after attending a local hiring fair. There are a further 31 parishes within 5 miles radius of Framlingham. They are in the Registration Districts of Blything, Hoxne and Woodbridge as well as Plomesgate. Have you checked the 1851 census for all these surrounding places? The later information shows the family moved to London so you will need to check through the 1851, 61 and 71 censuses for London - a major task but there are some published indexes. His marriage in Shoreditch might help narrow down your search - but I wouldn't limit the search to Shoreditch. It would be worth your while subscribing to a London regional mailing list to ask whether anyone else has found the family. Search in: http://searches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/Genea/rsl Hope this helps.
