Thomas Bryant was born 3 March 1759, Northumberland County, Virginia, and died 27 November 1847, Trenton, Grundy County, Missouri. He served in the Revolution from Virginia, and there is a DAR marker on his grave. Name of his wife is unknown. And his children's names are not all known. At least these: 1. Thomas 2. James (or the same person, Thomas James) 3. unknown son married an Elizabeth, had family in Grundy County, Missouri. 4. Lucinda, born 2 December 1797, Burke County, North Carolina, died 27 December 1887, Rushville, Buchanan County, Missouri, married about 1819, Burke County, North Carolina, to Benjamin Franklin Lay. He lived in Scott County, Virginia, and Buchanan County, Missouri. 5. Mary, born 1809, Burke County, North Carolina, died in Claiborne County, Tennessee, married 27 December 1823, Burke County, North Carolina, to James Newton Lay. He remarried and in later life settled in Dent County, Missouri, with his children. Thomas Bryant applied for the Rev. War pension from Greene County, Tennessee, while living with an Austin Bryant family who is probably also a son. Austin Bryant later lived in Dallas County, Missouri.
