To Allen Taylor Allen you had stated in your last e-mail that your Bryant line founded the town of Bryantsburg. Information from the "History of Jefferson County 1889" shows that a Jacob Bryant laid out Bryantsburg, Monroe township 5 March, 1834. At this time it contained a post office, three stores, two blacksmith shops and had a population of 60 people. Section 11, town V, range X east. This Jacob Bryan(t) is my 3rd great-grandfather b. 1783 Robeson County, N.C. He moved from NC to Madison, Jefferson County, IN around 1822. Then around 1834 to Wabash, IN I'm wondering if our two Bryan(t) lines may in some way be connected. E-mail me direct at [email protected] William Bryan
